Pope Francis: An Apocalyptic Figure?

I am cautious about "pinning the tail" on the Antichrist and the False Prophet. We cannot know ahead of time who these personalities are; however, Pope Francis comes close to "filling the bill" on the False Prophet. Or he may be but a "type" of that man just like there are many "types" of the Antichrist throughout history. I think the devil has always had a candidate for the Antichrist waiting in the wings as he doesn't know when the final generation is.

Lucifer Makes Prime Time

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse..." (II Timothy 3:13).

I guess the Fox Network really is fair and balanced. They present the good, the bad, and the truly ugly. In this case the "ugly" is a program about Lucifer. That's right: Lucifer leaves Hell and becomes a resident of Los Angeles. I'm not making this up.

Mockers: They Have Been Warned

Those who celebrate diversity have been busy showing a remarkable display of a lack of diversity in recent weeks. The "tolerant ones" are having violent fits of intolerance. The open-minded Left have once again revealed themselves to be 100% closed-minded. Let me explain.

I've been present at a tragic event called "Hope for the Holy Land." The one-night event visited my alma mater a few years ago, Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. It featured a World Vision rep, Mae Cannon, Willow Creek's Lynne Hybels, and The Holy Land Trust rep Sami Awad.

Their approach offered zero hope for the Holy Land because they only wanted to talk about "the occupation." Jesus didn't live in "occupied territory." It was and is God's land and the borders are outlined in the Bible.

Efforts to interject truth into that forum were blocked.

Believing a Lie

What nation could be "apartheid on steroids"? Surely some Islamic stronghold, right?

Try Israel. That's according to World Vision's Steve Haas writing for the Lausanne Movement.

Islam and God's End-Time Plan

Is Islam in prophecy? There are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world -- 23% of the world's population. There are about 3,500,000 Muslims in America and 43,000,000 in Europe. Experts suggest there are over 100,000,000 radical Muslims and that number is likely low. There are at least 250,000 radical Muslims in America. I live among some of them in Minnesota. They are continually being caught in terrorist activity in the U.S. and abroad. And they are joining ISIS on a daily basis.

But how do they fit into God's end-time plan?

World Net Daily

Here we go again. Another "Christ at the Checkpoint," or CATC, conference is set to launch March 10-14. It's another tragic event that tells half-truths and hardly the entire story. The theme is "Christ at the Checkpoint III: Your Kingdom Come." It's based on the Lord's Prayer and how Christ would approach the Israeli-Palestinian conflict today.

The End-Game Has Begun

A secular talk show host I enjoy opened his program yesterday saying, "The end-game has begun." Even the unbelieving world knows things are coming apart. Even non-Christians know that serial lying, scheming, and back door deals are not right. Men and women acting with seared consciences -- blatantly mocking truth-telling -- is the norm with some today. And it troubles some of us that many Americans hate God, America and Christians in that order. In fact, they are obsessed with blotting out all three. Millions of people of all denominations or no denomination do not want a secular-humanist socialist utopia in America.

Scoffers Abound

Excuse me while I rant. I think Bible prophecy gets a bad rap. I think that those of us who long for Jesus' return are marginalized in the church today. I even think there is a war on Bible prophecy starting in our seminaries. The carnage is played out in our churches that across-the-board stay away from the subject. The fact that the King is coming is seen as bad news to many because the event is shrouded in the world's bad news.

The evangelical left's Palestinian push

Jan Markell looks at Christianity Today's anti-Israel book recommendations

We are nearing the second anniversary of a terrible event – the killing of many members of the Fogel family in Israel by Palestinian terrorists. The intruders were unmerciful, going from room to room in their act of evil, thankfully overlooking two small children. A third was out for the evening but had to return to the scene.

Subsequently, after their capture, the two terrorists expressed no remorse for their actions, saying that had they known that two other children had been sleeping in the Fogel home at the time, they would have murdered them as well.
